Top News and Magazine Apps on Android in Brazil: Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, several news and magazine apps demonstrated notable performance trends on the Android platform in Brazil. This analysis is based on data from Sensor Tower, which provides deeper insights into app performance metrics.

X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. saw fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $11.5K in early April and June. Weekly downloads began at 102K, then settled around 62K to 71K through the quarter. Active users slightly declined from 11.5M to 10.7M.

Notícias Locais experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads from 41K to below 3K by the end of June, while active users dropped from 908K to 744K. Revenue remained modest, peaking at $110 in late April.

Consulta Benefício showed a significant increase in downloads, reaching over 61K in mid-May, before settling around 8K by the end of June. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 118K in mid-April.

O Trabalhador witnessed a drop in downloads from 33K to about 15K by late June. Active users decreased from 98K to 28K, indicating a downward trend.

Consulta Bolsa Família maintained stable download numbers, fluctuating between 11K and 8K throughout the quarter. Active users remained low, with a slight increase to 7K by the end of June.
